Virtual Interface Architecture Ya know, you never forget your first high speed interconnect... This is what I worked on before I moved on to the doomed NGIO (Next Generation I/O), and its eventual successor, Infiniband.

(Of course, I have been working more with Fibre Channel, so now that's interconnect #3. I can't count ethernet because everybody knows ethernet so it's not as big a deal as it used to be. If I ever learn to write ethernet routing algorithm implementations in hardware I'll let ya know.)
