Another data point on the inevitability of the impending apocalypse: I was just granted a Patent by the US Patent and Trademark Office. Clearly, this isn't a good sign. When you're done rolling on the floor laughing, have a look at US Patent #6,799,220.

I'm deliriously happy so far with my Happy Hacker Lite 2 keyboard. I've had an RSI in my right shoulder for just over a year now, and can't use a long keyboard with a 10 key on the right anymore. The extra reach and rotation during mouse usage inflames the shoulder cuff something fierce - But no more! I've also used the Adesso MCK-91 (PS2 only) and the KBT-90 (USB), but the Happy Hacker keyboard has the right configuration for Unix - the evil Caps Lock key is supplanted by the Control key. You can still do Caps Lock if you really want to, but you can't just smack it by accident anymore. The only (minor) drawback is that the tilde '~' is now on the right instead of on the left, but I'm getting used to it; it matters more to us Unix types then to those on other operating systems.
The Happy Hacker keyboard has the loud "clackity" sound I've come to love, and the keyboard action and spring are just right for my typing style; I had to take a typing class in high school on an electric typewriter, so I still prefer that kind of keyboard action. I'm hard on the keys when I type since I type quickly (usually over 60 wpm). I like the feedback against my fingertips to let me know that the key is properly depressed.
So far, using the short keyboards, my shoulder problem has almost completely receded. So sez me, support the Happy Hacker Lite 2 keyboard if you have shoulder repetitive strain injuries or want a keyboard without the crappy CapsLock key!
