Nukular War
So I played a limited round of the "State of the Union Drinking Game" last night. Every time President George W. Bush mispronounced "nuclear" as "nukular" we all took a swig of beer. It's a good thing we only observed that one main annoyance, as it was enough all on its own to get us sloshed quickly.

The site gives a whole list of Bushism and buzzword related phrases; had we observed all the words I think I'd probably be in the hospital getting my stomach pumped and recovering from an acute case of alcohol poisoning.
Can't the President get a speech therapist or something? How can we be the leader of the nuclear nations when our President can't even pronounce the word correctly?

In addition to the LAPD's page, there's another great little resource for perusing stolen art.
I'm not sure why I like to view stolen art - I guess it's because it's work I'd never get to see any other way, and it's cool to see what other people consider to be worth stealing. There's a certain cache granted to living, working artists whose work is considered good enough or valued highly enough to steal.

It's official. I now believe that the character of Bobby Trendy in the Anna Nicole Show is just an actor cast for the role to add a little controversy to her show. We are now seeing a not-too-new phenomenon in reality TV - the injection of fiction to spice up the reality. Pretty soon these reality shows will be pure fiction again, and we will have come full circle. Don't people already know that reality sucks? Give us fantasy, outrage, controversy every time! It's so rare in our real lives but a staple of all prime time suckfare. They sucked us in by trying to make us believe this is her real life - and it is, really. She makes money selling access to herself. She always has. That's what strippers and models do. Nothing has changed except it's on TV and she can reach far more people. She may be dumb as a post but she's learned one good thing - hire a good accountant, publicist and law firm, and they will compensate for your weaknesses.
Oh yeah. New Year's Eve SUCKED.
